Kempston Rural Pre‑School Applications for September 2026

Applications for a place in our pre‑school for September 2026 are completed through the online form linked below. All sections of the form must be completed for the application to be submitted.

Before applying, please read the accompanying letter that explains our pre‑school session options, funding codes, practical information such as uniform, and how the setting operates. Term dates are published on the school website, please note that this is a term time only Pre-School and there is no wraparound care provision. 

Families should also refer to the Pre‑School Admissions Policy, available on the Policies page of the Kempston Rural Primary School website. Admissions are not offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis; places are allocated according to the criteria set out in the policy.

A place in our pre‑school does not guarantee a place in Reception the following year. Reception places must be applied for separately through Bedford Borough Local Authority, and all allocations and admissions are managed by the Local Authority.

Children must be three years old before 31st August 2026 to be eligible for a September 2026 start, we are unable to offer places to children who do not meet this criteria. We offer one intake each September.

The closing date for applications is Monday 13th April 2026. Applications received after this date will be placed on a waiting list. Parents and carers will be notified of the outcome of their application by email in early May 2026.
